About us
About us
We are honored to manage the world’s largest tradable collection of Alphonse Mucha’s works, consisting of over 500 pieces and owned by the renowned investment group WOOD & Company.
We are responsible for its careful storage, transportation, and oversee exhibitions and promotional events that help us spread Alphonse Mucha’s legacy worldwide.
We are pioneers in organizing exhibitions that interact with visitors and offer a four-dimensional experience, immersing them into the world of Art Nouveau – the world of Alphonse Mucha. Our exhibits are designed to provide not only a visual but also an emotional and almost tangible experience of Mucha’s work.
We have a team of specialists with many years of experience in art, marketing, and event management. Our experts, working globally, are the foundation of our success and ensure that every event we host is of a world-class standard.
We are committed to offering a clear system for exhibitors, providing them with everything necessary for a successful, crowd-pulling, and profitable exhibition that enhances the reputation of both the exhibitor and ART NOUVEAU Production. This gives visitors the opportunity to see the world of ART NOUVEAU, an experience they will never forget.
Our aim is for everyone to discover and appreciate not only the aesthetic beauty of Mucha’s works but also their cultural and historical significance. We believe that art has the power to connect people and transcend cultural barriers.
QuoteUpon a detailed examination of the collection, we realized that we were encountering an absolutely unique collection in the world. In fact, it is also the largest commercially available collection.

His art is filled with both apparent and concealed symbols. The more you know what and where to search, the more you find. After all, Mucha was a Freemason who achieved the highest Masonic rank in the former Czechoslovakia.

because Ivan Lendl’s goal was to have all 121 cataloged posters created by Mucha. The collection contains 119 of them because one could not be found and the other was not for sale.
This was followed by an eleven-year effort by Richard Fuxa, who significantly expanded the collection. This increased its investment potential, as the only similarly comprehensive collection is owned by the Mucha Foundation, and is not for sale.

We intend to hold exhibitions to enhance Mucha’s worldwide reputation, which should also positively impact the collection’s value. There is interest from foreign entities in organizing exhibitions, and we have already begun negotiations with some of them. Additionally, we want to try to acquire more of Mucha’s works for the Portu Gallery in the future, not only his artistic pieces but also other artifacts such as banknote or stamp designs.

Co-owner of the collection
When the famous, now-retired Czech tennis player Ivan Lendl started it, his curator and advisor was Jiří Mucha, the painter’s son. Richard Fuxa bought the collection from Ivan Lendl, spent ten years expanding it, and tripled its size.
Every investment carries some volatility. However, blue-chip art has seen fewer downturns. In my opinion, Alfons Mucha is still underrated compared to his contemporaries. The Slav Epic attracted 700,000 visitors in Japan.

This is the original Lendl collection, which was significantly expanded and enriched by another Czech private collector, Richard Fuxa. We are immensely happy to have acquired this art collection.
