VOn Wednesday, March 20, 2025, the exhibition titled Alfons Mucha, The Flower of Art Nouveau opened in the South Korean capital.
A total of 273 works by the world-renowned Czech artist are now on display at the iconic My Art Museum in Seoul.

The exhibition is the result of an intense three-month preparation period, during which complex legal, administrative, and logistical challenges had to be resolved. The team at Art Nouveau Production, acting as the collection’s curator and manager, played a key role—handling everything from artwork selection and insurance to export permits and final installation on-site.

“Relocating an exhibition of this scale in just 90 days would be a challenge even for a multinational institution. Our team made it happen through precise planning and excellent cooperation with partners in both the Czech Republic and Korea,” says Jakub Čejka of Art Nouveau Production.

The significance of the exhibition is further highlighted by the fact that My Art Museum has been awarded ‘Exhibition of the Year’ four times in a row by the Korean Cultural Association. More than 5,000 visitors attended the show within the first four days of its opening.

Beyond its cultural value, the project also carries a clear investment dimension—it forms part of a long-term international strategy for the development of the collection, whose majority owner is the investment group WOOD & Company. As part of the exhibition’s preparations, 159 artworks were newly framed and fitted with UV-protective glass, significantly enhancing the collection’s long-term value.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the City of Seoul, the Korean government, the cultural sector, and the media.
